Pain and fever

Precautions:

Infants < 1 month; hepatic, renal impairment

Adverse Reactions:

Rare: dyspepsia; nausea; allergic, haematological reactions

Interactions:

Anticoagulants; chloramphenicol; drugs affecting gastric emptying; hepatic enzyme inducers incl alcohol

Dose:

15 mg/kg 4 hourly up to 4 times/day if needed. Usual doses. 1-3 months: 0.6-0.9 mL; 3-6 months: 0.9-1.2 mL; 6-12 months: 1.2-1.5 mL; 1-2 years: 1.5-1.9 mL
